If adequate land is available, horizontal loops can be installed. Holes are horizontally bored out 200 ft. in length and 15-45 ft. depth, per ton of capacity. U-shaped loops of pipe are pulled back into holes.

(1 loop per ton)

200 ft. out per loop

15 - 45 ft. depth

  • Cost effective:

    • More loop field installation options

    • Takes less time and resources than vertical drilling

  • Minimal ground disturbance

Why horizontal directional drilling?
  • Grouting ensures excellent loop conductivity

  • Environmentally safe

  • System can support additional HVAC needs

  • Rebates from utility companies

  • Sizing of new and retro-fit installations
